Donnie Yen (甄子丹 Zhēn zi dān) may be in China right now, but his family and friends did not forget his 59th birthday on Wednesday (July 27).

His wife Cissy Wang (汪詩詩 Wāng shī shī) wrote on Instagram: "Happy birthday to my amazing hubby. Again another birthday apart. We love you and miss you. Wishing your filming goes smoothly!"

Yen married Wang, the winner of Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant (2000), in 2003 and they have two children - daughter Jasmine, 18, and son James, 14.

He has an older son from a previous marriage.

Besides a video, Wang, 41, also posted several photos - both old and new - of her husband and family.

The 43-year-old posted a photo of himself pretending to be punched by a standee of Ip Man, with the caption: "Big happy birthday to the legend. Hope you're having an awesome day, big bro."

PHOTO: "We traveled back to Hangzhou and this time took the High Speed Train (bullet train), Donnie’s first time and loved it. The ride is so smooth, no delays and can enjoy the beautiful scenery.
In Hangzhou we stayed at the Four Seasons, their’ hotel is like a fairytale waking up to beautiful gardens, it‘s right beside West lake which we took a boat ride and learned more about the history.
We also went to different locations where old buidlings turned to creative office spaces, lofts, gallery, stylish cafes, restaurants and shops. Completely inspiring especailly for the young generation.
Not far from Hangzhou there’s many lakes and I found Qing Shan Lake, did not waste the opportunity to go surfing!!! We had the whole lake to oursleves! 🏄‍♀️
