Jesus Christ's redemption personally encourages us by changing our daily reality from a life under a hopeless curse to one full of grace, peace, and permanent hope.

Based on Chapter 4 of "In The Beginning: Tracing The Gospel Story in Genesis", which reflects on Genesis 3:14-24 (the judgment and the eviction from the Garden of Eden), here is how this redemption brings deep personal encouragement, explained in simple Singapore English.

1. No Need to Avoid or Hide from God (No Need to Paiseh)
  • The Fallout: In Genesis 3, after Adam and Eve sinned, they felt so paiseh (embarrassed) and scared that they hid from God among the trees. The relationship was totally broken. 
  • The Encouragement: Because Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross, we don’t have to play hide-and-seek with God anymore. We can talk to Him anytime, anywhere. No need to feel like we are not good enough to pray, because Jesus already made us clean.
