Grumpy Malaysian boy trying to run away from home with a tent is the funniest thing we've seen today

It seems that digitalisation has not changed the fact that running away is still an option for kids, for in a video posted by Siakap Keli Press, a little boy can be seen walking down a road with a bag pack and a tent in his hand while a man (presumably a family member of the boy’s) follows him on a motorbike.

Raise your hands if you've ever tried to threaten your parents by running away from home.

Now, raise your hands if you never had the courage to actually leave the house.

Not this gutsy Malaysian boy though.

In a recent video posted on Facebook by Siakep Keli Press, a little boy can be seen trudging along the road with a backpack on his shoulders and a small foldable tent tucked beneath his arm.

It's oddly reminiscent of those episodes of Tom and Jerry where the characters would sulk off with their most prized belongings wrapped in a towel and tied to a stick.

Whether he made it home or decided to embark on his journey to becoming a man, we don't know for sure.

While we would have packed just our favourite snacks and chouchou/bantal busuk, the boy goes a step further and prepares a tent. Definitely much more forward-thinking than we used to be.

The cameraman (presumably a family member) follows after him on a motorcycle. He then calls out to the boy a few times: "Brother, where are you going?"

The boy's determination (or stubbornness) is something to commend. Despite the cameraman's attempts at cajoling him and offering him a ride home, he resolutely ignores the other and continues on his way.

The most adorable thing about the video was the little grouchy side-eye the little boy gave the man at the end of the video!

The urge arrives from our shadows with a smirk, wry with its skewed intentions.

PHOTO: The urge arrives from our shadows with a smirk, wry with its skewed intentions. Prowling on our tender insecurities and fears, the urge whispers in our ear in those dark, scary moments: "run away. It's okay."

But the Bible said:
"Abstain from every form of evil." (1 Thessalonians 5:22 ESV).
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4 ESV).
