CFC (NS) Pang, an armament technician from the Singapore Armed Forces' (SAF) 268th Battalion Singapore Artillery, had been taking part in Exercise Thunder Warrior at the Waiouru training area in New Zealand, Mindef said.

Hours after the actor's passing, the 27-year-old penned a heartbreaking note on Instagram, saying "I have lost my world."

"Why did you leave me behind without a word?" she asked.

Of the two photos she shared, one showed the couple smiling in happier times, while the other showed Jayley holding Aloysius' hand while he was in a hospital in New Zealand.

She wrote, "In this life, I did not have the good fortune to become your wife. Let's get married in the next life."

On the same night, her twin sister Hayley Woo revealed in an Instagram post that Aloysius had plans to propose to Jayley by the time he turned 31.

In a heart-to-heart talk after celebrating the twins' birthday last month, the actor told Hayley that he was working hard to make money in preparation for marriage.

Shortly after Jayley wrote the Instagram post, calls from the media followed.

"Please stop calling me, I will not answer any questions," the grieving actress said, and asked for privacy in the final moments that she has with her boyfriend.

"I'll try sleeping now, please appear in my dreams," she wrote.

But it appears that it'll be a sleepless night for Jayley, who has just shared a series of photos that documented the couple's relationship over the years.

One of the photos showed Aloysius and Jayley while they were filming a drama together in 2015. It was accompanied by a poignant caption, "(this is) the closest I'll ever get to receiving a ring from you."
