It's not only the wrongdoings highlighted on Stomp that get reactions. Stompers respond positively to heartwarming stories of good Samaritans.

One such outstanding citizen was Recruit Dickson Phoon, a full-time national serviceman who helped a handicapped man settle down in a spot in Compass Point shopping mall before buying him a drink.

His gracious act was witnessed by Stomper Janaine, who wrote to Stomp: "This guy in uniform really deserves a mention. He is indeed a Singaporean Son."

Recruit Phoon was later praised by the army for his selflessness.

Another kind-hearted person who made the headlines was taekwondo coach Choi Dae Ho, who offered an old woman his slippers after he noticed that she was barefoot on the bus.

After news of his act broke on Stomp, the Korean national became an online sensation.

He said in an interview: "It was a small gesture on my part, and it was something I felt I had to do, or I would regret it."
