Ngee Ann Polytechnic lecturer Lee Kow Fong, who has published 10 illustrated children's books, spent four hours on Wednesday night to draw this watercolour painting titled Into The Garden, He Built as a tribute to Lee Kuan Yew.

The 44-year-old wrote on Facebook: "Thank you for giving up your life in building us this marvellous garden city. The whole world is watching us.

"Rest assured we will make this garden even better, this city even more prosperous. This is now our job, you have our word."
