The theme is "Protect! Don't pollute! Everyone's water planet". A water fairy that appeared early? The high leg cut is wonderful. However, the water supply clerk was a little in the way.

Each team expresses its own unique theme through dancers' costumes, the team's float, and their dance. You can easily spot the lead dancer, known as the Rainha de Bateria (Queen of the Drums), by her sash. Also standing out from the rest of the team are the pair of dancers bearing the team flag.

The carnival reflects Japan’s links with Brazil, which hosts the world's largest Japanese diaspora population. Asakusa Samba Carnival aims to re-create the samba carnival of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and began in 1981 in Asakusa. The Samba Carnival's contests are held over two leagues--the S1 League, which is the higher section, and the S2 League, with the S2 League attracting eight teams this year. LAMBS won the contest especially for the high ratings it received for its lively movements, costume, and performance among review items.

3rd is Estran Jiroth. Established in 1996, Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture. This is the 20th participation. The theme is "jungle". Is the beginning an incarnation of a leaf? The following dancers are green tanga and feel like regular costumes, but they happen to fit the theme.

In addition, a group of snake women will surprise the audience. A large snake is entwined around the woman's body, and it is truly a jungle. This combination is the ultimate in eroticism, and this obscureness can be said to be Asakusa itself.

In this year's Asakusa Samba Carnival, LAMBS put together our parade with not only LAMBS members but also ICU students who are not part of the group. In tune with their parade theme this year of Adventure to El Dorado, LAMBS made their way to Asakusa by making the preparation period for Asakusa as an adventurous journey. And Asakusa, the goal, was as sparkling as El Dorado with their smiles, and the smiles of the spectators.

The tanga dancer that appears for a while is wonderful. It can be said that it is a character suitable for a sunny day. Since the theme is familiar, it is easy to embrace emotions.

38th Asakusa Samba Carnival (2019) took place on Saturday 31 August 2019.
Samba carnival belongs to the family Revelry. What effect should this knowledge have on Christians today? The same effect as it had on early Christians living in the Greek-influenced provinces in Asia Minor. Before becoming Christians they used to indulge
in deeds of loose conduct, lusts, excesses with wine, revelries [koʹmois], drinking matches, and illegal idolatries.” (1 Peter 1:1; 4:3, 4) However, after learning that God views revelries as works belonging to darkness, they ceased participating in carnivallike celebrations.Romans 13:12-14. [2]

"The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh." (Romans 13:12-14).
