Remembering Lee Kuan Yew

Mr Lee Kuan Yew was born on 16 September 1923 at 92 Kampong Java Road in colonial Singapore. He led a typical, simple childhood of that time – flying kites, spinning tops and catching fighting fish from nearby drains. Eldest of his siblings, he is accompanied by his brothers and sisters, Suan Yew, Monica, Freddy, and Dennis.

Mr Lee Kuan Yew and Mdm Kwa Geok Choo was at Punggol River after WWII with friends and sister. Mr Lee Kuan Yew began Law School at London School of Economics, but later moved on to Cambridge University when Ms Kwa joined him. They married secretly on 23 Dec, 1947 in Stratford-upon-Avon.
