Lycopene is thought to act as a super antioxidant, stopping free radicals from damaging your cells and messing with your immune system. Lycopene, typically found in red fruits and vegetables, may help fight heart disease and several types of cancer. Watermelon contains a natural substance called citrulline that’s been tied to improved artery function and lower blood pressure.
At 46 calories per cup, watermelon offers 20 percent of your daily intake of vitamin C and 17 percent of your vitamin A, according to the USDA. Watermelon contains dietary fiber for digestive health as well as potassium, a mineral that helps keep blood pressure capped.

In fact, a single cup of bok choy contains the entire RDA of beta carotene, which has been shown to prevent night blindness and possibly reduce the risk of cataract and macular degeneration.
