 Hong Kong authorities have filed a police report after a four-second clip surfaced on the Internet depicting a naked woman reaching for a bookshelf in a library in Causeway Bay.

A video showing a naked woman in a Hong Kong library has recently been circulating online, prompting police investigations.

According to South China Morning Post (SCMP), the four-second clip showed a woman stripping off her outer garment before posing for the camera in the nude.

It also reported that based on the purple-coloured seats in the background and the layout of the library, the clip is suspected to have been filmed at the Central Library in Causeway Bay.

Hong Kong media HK01.com noted that the unidentified woman was clad only in a mask as she posed by the bookshelf and reached for books.

The report added that her brazen behaviour has shocked netizens, with some slamming her behaviour as "indecent".

"Where have traditional moral ethics gone?" one netizen was quoted as saying. Others also wondered if she had filmed the clip for money.

"What is with people in Hong Kong? Is it the fault of the education system or society?" questioned another netizen.

According to HK01.com, some netizens expressed concern as to why security personnel did not notice the outrageous behaviour.

A spokesperson from Hong Kong's Leisure and Cultural Services Department told media outlets that they were unclear as to the source of the video or when the clip was filmed, but stated that they had filed a police report.

SCMP reported that the case is under request for investigation by the police and no arrests have been made as of Wednesday (Mar 8).

If found guilty of indecent exposure, perpetrators may be sentenced to a fine of HK＄2,000 (S＄340) and six months in jail.
 

 Responding to HK01's queries, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department stated that the identity of the woman has yet to be established, and that they were unaware of the origins of the video or when it was shot.

 The video showed a lady wearing only a mask as she stripped off her dark clothing.
 

 Nevertheless, many called for a thorough investigation into the act of indecency.

PENAMPANG (West Coast Division of Sabah): An unidentified young woman, believed to be a rape victim, was found naked and unconscious in a drain near Dowish Restaurant and KadazaDdusun Cultural Association premises here yesterday.

It is said that a passer-by found the woman, believed in her 20s, lying in the drain around noon.

The victim, with bruises on her face, could be assaulted and gang-raped before being thrown into the drain.

District police chief DSP Rosley Hobden said the victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.

“Her identity has not been established as she is still traumatized,” he said, adding that she was under doctors’ supervision.


A local man arrested this morning, will assist police in investigations and be remanded from tomorrow onwards. Penampang police chief Rosley Honden said the suspect was nabbed at about 10.36am today near the bus station in Jalan Bundusan, Penampang.

“The victim needs some time to recover before we can proceed with our investigation,” he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code.

Rosley urged the public not to make any speculation amid police investigation.

He also urged anyone with information on the incident to come forward to the nearest police station to assist them in their investigation.

SINGAPORE - A photograph of a woman posing nude in a public carpark has caused a stir online, after the photo was uploaded on the Internet.
The photograph was posted on citizen journalism website Stomp, after a contributor spotted the photo on Tumblr, a social networking and microblogging platform.
In the photo, the woman is seen posing completely naked, wearing only her shoes and a hat. She has one hand on her hip and the other raised while flashing the peace sign.
While the location is not clear, the photograph appears to have been taken at a HDB carpark entrance at night.
The identities of both the woman and the photographer are unknown.
