PHOTO: We somehow belong to the category of people who are at the receiving end of nasty responses. Loud and sometime violent rejection is just one of the embarrassing moments which we have to constantly go through. We shy away from social activities because people will try desperately to escape away from us. Going through such agonising moments again and again is taking a toll on our morale, confidence, enthusiasm and health. So tired, just want to sleep and forget about facing the world. All the pretenses being brave are just laughing stock for the successful and happy. One thing that we can console ourselves; we are very high entertainment material although at the expense of our miserable souls. Yes, you are right, we should disappear. We have no right to stay in this world with all the "elites". Hell is not a nice place to go. But heaven could be full of CEOs, Presidents, Ministers, Elites, and Bosses. Could be very stressful? No? Where to go? - Story of the vanishing soul

Try listening to the following comments and you may understand.

我不会喜欢你这种人! - I do not like people like you

没人要的东西,我也不要 - Unwanted things, I also do not want
Méi rén yào de dōngxī, wǒ yě bù yào

Malaysian Olympic badminton silver medalist & model used to be 'tomboy'

PHOTO: Malaysian Olympic badminton silver medallist Goh Liu Ying, 吴柳萤 (Wú liǔ yíng)
"When she was 12 or 13, she had short hair, not like now. Maybe you could consider her a tomboy but she still acted like a girl".
The brothers said that Liu Ying's feat did not come easy. Their family pulled together to push her into recovering from her knee surgery to winning the silver.

SEPANG - Silver medallist Goh Liu Ying is a knockout as seen in her off-the-court photographs but her brothers remember a more rambunctious (lively) side of her growing up.

Her younger brothers, both working in the IT business, recalled childhood days of playing badminton for hours on end. And also losing terribly to their sister.

"Our mother always wanted us to play. But we couldn't beat her and by the time she was 13, she entered the Bukit Jalil Sports School. We didn't have a chance against her after that," said Goh Qi Hao, 23.

After a long period did not go out for the badminton tournaments, Goh Liu Ying has successfully entered second round today with Chan Peng Soon in 2014 OUE Singapore Open Badminton Tournament by beating Korean pair Baek Choel SHIN & Hye Won EOM (21-17, 21-19).

Qi Hao and another brother Goh Qi Liang, 25, brought huge bouquets for their 27-year-old big sister at the Bunga Raya Complex yesterday.

The entire family was there, too, including Liu Ying's wheelchair-bound 86-year-old grandfather who had not been to Kuala Lumpur for over three decades.

"We are all so proud of her. We never expected her to achieve so much," said Qi Liang, who is still coming to grips with the fact that his sister was now a national celebrity.

"We never expected her to win. Her physical frame is not like other athletes, so we never expected her to do so well. We are very proud," he said.

"再回头无数次也留不住走过的曾经,只能往前走,才能走向你想要的目标"
Zài huí tóu wú shù cì yě liú bù zhù zǒu guò de céng jīng, zhǐ néng wǎng qián zǒu, cái néng zǒu xiàng nǐ xiǎng yào de mù biāo
Going back to the past many times cannot bring it back, only by moving forward can we acheive our goal.

I am Goh Liu Ying. I am the Rio Olympics badminton mixed doubles silver medalist. This makes me proud for the rest of my life.
It was heartwarming to see so many Malaysians united in support of the pair but Goh Liu Ying's Facebook post last night about her Olympics journey prove to be even more heartfelt.

In the beginning, the goal was to perform in the group stage. Then, when we got into the semi-finals, I thought that maybe we may have a chance at a bronze medal. When we won the semi-finals, I felt like I was in a dream. Did I really win? Is this not a dream? I have dreamt for many times how great a feeling it would be to be able to stand on the podium.

"Two years ago, for the sake of performing in the Olympics, I underwent surgery to repair both of my damaged knees.
"Standing on the podium and seeing the moment our country's flag was raised, I teared up. I could only dream of this moment, I never thought it could happen. We entered the Olympics in eighth place, there were so many opponents who were better than us."
